Much like a digital thermostat, the eAquatix™ Controller reduces power consumption by turning off devices on a strict schedule. Even if the lights are left on, the controller will turn the lights off on schedule. eMonitoring subscribers can utilize advanced algorithms to optimize thermal efficiency of the environment, thus reducing the overall power consumption of the aquarium.
Each Controller is also designed with the latest low voltage proccesors and internal circuitry—reducing overall power consumption, not performance. The controller itself uses on only 30 watts of electricity, roughly the same as a small light bulb.
